More than 220 years in the making.
Our family-run business began life over 220 years ago when our founder, Thomas Glover, began knitting and selling jumpers in his hometown of Leicestershire. Eight generations later, one move to Manchester, and a lot of lessons learned along the way, we’re still working with wool that’s reared and sheared just a few miles from our factory.
Wool is renewable, biodegradable and recyclable. As fabrics go, it’s the most sustainable material out there. And as far as we’re concerned, we wouldn’t work with anything else. But we’re not only big on British wool farming - we’re big on British manufacturing, too.
We work closely with our weavers to create high-quality clothing that’s made as consciously as possible. We believe everyone should buy less and buy better. That’s why from the first designs to the finishing stitch, all our clothing is (and always will be) made in Britain.
