Introducing ‘Nimbus’ for AW20. Our newest shade of British Wool, inspired by the deep grey tones of the nimbus clouds. “Nimbus” comes from the Latin word for “rain” which we get plenty of here in the UK.
Cumbria, one of the wettest counties in Britain, is home to the Blue Faced Leicester, providing wool for all of our British Wool garments. These elegant sheep are deservedly among the most popular of all British breeds due to their fine, soft, semi-lustrous fleece. Despite BFL’s softness, the fibre is also hard-wearing and holds its block wonderfully, making it ideal for both more durable items.
